Born and raised in Mexico City, Bernardo is currently based in Ceuta, Spain. He has studied design at the the Escuela de Diseño del Instituto Nacional de
Bellas Artes, and film animation at the Mexican Academia Nacional de Animación. Bernardo speaks Spanish and English.
Bernardo has rich film production experience across Mexico. He has assisted direction and camera operation in the production of various student films at the Centro Universitario de Estudios Cinematográficos México D.F., Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica México D.F., and on independent films. While employed by Canana Films, founded by Gael Garcia Bernal and Diego Luna, Bernardo coordinated film festival activities and assisted in pre-production, production, and post-production on such films as Drama/Mex, Cochichi, JC Chavez, and Déficit. Bernardo was a producer of the Quick Flick World Mexico film festival, and the 1st international Gay Film and Theater Festival in Mexico City.
Bernardo is an experienced user of Final Cut Pro and After Effects.
