Alessandro Gallo

Born and raised amid the mountains in the Po valley of northeast Italy, Alessandro is now mostly based in Shanghai, although lately he is most likely to be on his bike in some remote location or another. His travels kicked off with a modeling career that took him around Europe, North America, and Asia, but he quickly moved behind the camera and now works as a freelance photographer and videographer around the world.

His portfolio includes corporate and commercial videos, charity fundraising events, video installations, documentaries, television programs, and in recent years has established himself as a go-to professional for time-lapse photography. He was a camera operator on Seasons 2 and 3 of The Amazing Race: China Rush. His client list, to name a few, includes Apple, VICE, Noisey.com, The Italian Embassy, Cisco, Italcementi, Vibram, and Dunhill. His latest documentary, "A Spoke of Hope", is coming soon.

Alessandro is comfortable shooting in a variety of formats including HDLSRs, and HD digital video cameras, particularly Sony and Panasonic. He is an experienced editor, proficient with Final Cut Pro. He speaks Italian, English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Mandarin.
